I can’t quit you Nero.
Devil May Cry 4 combo setups are running through my mind right now while I type this. That’s how much I’m enjoying this game. I haven’t had this much fun in an action game since Ninja Gaiden Black. There is so much depth in the combat that I always find myself learning new ways of disposing of enemies. Exceed is the new Ultimate Technique. It feels a little better than the latter because of having some movement and revving up your sword seems more natural (as far fetched as that might be.) Other than the combat feeling more refined, this is DMC all over again. Kill all the enemies, go to another room, rinse, wash, and repeat. The puzzles are really a nuisance, or at least so far. It’s that old Japanese game development philosophy stamped all over the adventure, but for some odd reason I’m eating this shit up. I’m sure it’s the next-gen graphics and the amazing combat, but is that really enough to make this game fun. I can’t say for sure but for right now, hell yes it is.
